What’s the story behind the Fourteen Parishes Brand?
Fourteen Parishes exist with the primary goal of promoting Jamaican Agriculture. As Jamaican ex-pats with very deep roots on the island, the concept of the brand was created on a visit to the parish of Manchester. Viewing the landscape, the fertility of the land, and understanding the tradition of farming and self-sufficiency of the people of Jamaica, we developed a desire to link Jamaican roots with life back in The States. The 2018 Farm Bill was passed and we began to explore ways to connect Jamaica’s storied history of Cannabis cultivation, with the potentially new Cannabis/Hemp market that was about to blossom in America.
We were fortunate to meet individuals who were inspired by a similar desire to capitalize on the strength of Jamaica’s strong agricultural base. We are excited about the availability of underused farming capital and farming land availability to propel the island forward by leaning into agriculture, specifically Cannabis cultivation, and its exports. Fourteen Parishes is partnered with farmers, exporters, processors, extractors,
and distributors.
Unlike most companies who deal with international trade, Fourteen Parishes believes that the process of “adding value” to a product should occur in Jamaica. The required technical skill exists to create premium quality CBD oil formulations, balms, salves, and cannabinoid isolates can and are being produced on the island…ready for packaging and distribution upon receipt. With access to farms located in each of Jamaica’s 14 parishes, we have access to farmers cultivating ALL forms of Cannabis sativa.
We even have access to Jamaica’s world famous Blue Mountain Coffee. So in truth, Fourteen Parishes is a small company with a complicated network, designed to bring the best of Jamaica to the United States, then the world!

About Our Packaging
At Fourteen Parishes, we take our role as custodians of the planet seriously. All of our packaging is either reusable, recyclable, or compostable. As our primary packaging option, we have selected glass jars. They are rigid, sturdy, and offer protection to the contents therein. Our CBD gummies, Δ8 gummies, and (Cannabis) Hemp flower are all sold and shipped in glass jars.
At certain brick & mortar locations, refills of our products are available in craft paper pouches. We considered Mylar as our refill option but this option presented more environmental challenges than the option we selected. At Fourteen Parishes, we have attempted to design our brand around being environmentally responsible and leaving as small a footprint as possible on our planet.
